Other venues include Scorrier House and those venues located nearby Camborne, only 4 miles west of Redruth, making both towns facilities and venues ideally located to the other town, at the end of the day, Cornwall is not a big place, two hours driving end to end. Venues in Camborne include Rosewarne Manor and Lowena Hotel. Camborne does not particularly have the best reputation in Cornwall as a desirable place to live, but do check out its wedding venues and the surrounding area for possibilities. Just a few miles north towards the coast is Porthtowan between St Agnes & Portreath, here you will find the Blue Bar, a small beach side restaurant and cafe licensed for civil ceremonies.
With regards to location, Redruth & Camborne are both located in mid Cornwall, not too far from the capital, Truro. About an hours drive from each end of county between Bodmin and Helston. Both are just a short drive off the main A30 road that runs almost completely from East to West, joining the A38 at Bodmin if you are coming from east Devon.

John Wesley, founder of the methodist movement preached in the natural amphitheatre of Gwennap Pit in 1762; there is a visitor centre, and the Museum of Cornish Methodism in the Methodist Chapel, Carharrack. Other attractions include the Cornish Mining Heritage Center and the National Trust Cornish Engines (two restored winding & pumping engines of the East Poll and Agar Mine) at Pool and The Mineral Tramways Discovery Center at Old Cowlin’s Mill, Penhallick with displays on the Mineral Tramways Trail.
