Weddings in Tintagel Cornwall are most commonly know for the use of the Camelot Castle Hotel although the most well known thing about Tintagel is the Castle and the King Arthur story, however to my best knowledge this is not a wedding possibility. Nearby wedding venues in Camelford, Padstow or Wadebridge towns would also be ideally suited to basing a wedding out of Tintagel or the surrounding area. Like many towns on the North Coast of Cornwall, away from the sea front of Tintagel there is lots of open farm land and woodland, perfect for exploring or finding a very personal wedding venue, reception venue or humanist type wedding location.
‘Tintagel is a busy village in the holiday season with plenty to see and do. At the top of the village you will find the visitors centre and the (new) post office. If you arrive at Tintagel from the Trebarwith / Camelford direction the first Arthurian sight that you see has you enter is the Hall of Chivalry, well worth a visit. If you turn left here you can park in the car park in the the heart of the village where a weekly Thursday Market is held throughout the season. From here it is a short walk to St Materiana’s, the Norman church that stands proudly on the headland overlooking the castle of King Arthur.’ – This is Cornwall.
Tintagel is located on the North Coast of Cornwall, the nearest main road is the A39 Atlantic Highway and then the A30, located between Rock & Bude it has a prominent sea side location and is well known by both locals and tourists alike for its heritage. There are three main B roads in to Tintagel, one from the North, one for the South and one more directly from the East and the A39.
