It was my first time documenting a wedding in Redruth last week. When in Cornwall, I nearly always seem to photograph weddings either in and around Penzance or in and around Bodmin & Liskeard area, but rarely in-between the two. It was also another first in weddings for me, the first time my own mum was a guest at a wedding I was the photographer for – a little weird. ;) So last week I was able to break the mid Cornwall routine by photographing this wedding at The Old Vicarage, Treleigh, just on the outskirts of Redruth in Cornwall. Although as well as utilising the The Old Vicarage for the reception, we also travelled down beyond Penzance to the small village of Pendeen for their church service and marriage.
The couple had a rather informal day for the most part, just bringing family and friends together for a relaxed and chilled celebration. For example; Instead of a set meal, a buffet spread was put on by the brides talented chef of a brother and from then on the evening was a mixture of chatting and partying throughout the various rooms at The Old Vicarage.
Earlier in the day the bride arrived at the church with her dad in his custom home built LandRover and the couple departed the church in a Morgan, much to the surprise of the bride.
Below is a selection of the days pictures which make up about 15% of the final images the couple will receive. Hope you like. :)
