A few weeks back I went to Rock on the North Coast of Cornwall along with Andy & Sam to photograph a wedding at Enodoc Church near Padstow & Wadebridge. The wedding took place at the church of Enodoc which is located near the coast and on top of a Golf Course, the church is tucked away to such an extent that it is barely visible from just 25 meters away despite its tower and cannot be accessed by vehicle but instead must be walked too. The church perhaps created a few logistical issues but it was also great to see all the guest walking across fields from the various houses nearby that they were located in. The bridal party then walked further again from their house over the hill, the hunter boots were out and it was a good event in itself to photograph. The wedding reception was then in a Marquee on a hill less than a mile from the church overlooking the countryside and the waterfront.
Shooting alongside Andy at Harrera Images who covered the bridal preparations, I was documenting the boys activities in the morning which included nearly arriving at the church later than the bride. I do say nearly, I remember a few stern words like ‘we need to leave, NOW!’ :) A friend of mine, Sam, also came along to help us with the logistics and shot a few frames himself, some of the wide shots of people walking below are his. The whole day was full of sunshine and smiles and the speeches were paticularly expression rich. And all was finished off nicely with a beauty of a Hogg Roast. Just what was needed.
Congratulations to the couple and I very much look forward to another wedding in the countryside of Rock and the Enodoc Church soon. Enjoy.
