Charlestown is an old fishing port on the south coast of Cornwall near St Austell, however you may know Charlestown a little better through its more recent history as being a film set for several ship and sea related films, most notably perhaps is Pirates of the Caribbean. However you’ll find no pirates in this blog, today its time to feature a wedding I shot in Charlestown last week, at the local church and then on to Wreckers, a restaurant on the very front of Charlestown port.
The wedding day itself was a blend of wedding tradition and relaxation, along with many personal hints, not least the mountain of cakes, a classic car driven all the way from France and many many wedding breakfast details created by the bride… and thats not the only bride designed creation, as the wedding dress was also dreamt up by the bride herself. :)
From a photography point of view we had good variety throughout the day, a few different venues in close proximity which I always like, and with the beach literally 1 minute from the evening reception, it was hard to want too much more. The couple were great, and because they got ready just a few hundred meters apart, it was good to be able to spend a little time with the lads in the morning also.
Hope you like this little selection, as always some story telling pictures, some of my favs and a detail or two. :) Enjoy.
