During the the year I regularly get the chance to photograph weddings alongside other specialist wedding photographers, its nice in a way to sometimes just turn up to the wedding and just think about pictures rather than to much organisation. When working with others the morning tends to be the most different aspect of the wedding for me, photographing the Groom rather than the Bride. I also offer such a service, bringing a second photographer to photograph this other aspect of the wedding day that the bride and bridal party don’t often get to see.
Photographing the grooms morning makes a nice change from the bridal party where things are normally very routine. A grooms morning can include anything from a drink in the pub, breakfast in a cafe, surfing on the beach or a round at the local golf course. The unique aspect of having two photographers, especially during the morning, is the possibility to have two points of view in two places all the time, so that when the couple see the pics in time order, they are able to see what each other were doing – perhaps a scary thought for some grooms. :)
