This wedding in Cornwall AND Devon, Portloe AND Tavistock, which I had the privilege of being a part of a few weeks back was one which stretched borders in more than one way. Firstly, the bride was born and raised in Poland, whilst the groom was born and raised in Cornwall, needless to say the dual nationalities always makes for some great moments, particular in speeches and readings and again when you get to witness other countries traditions, even if they sometimes come at a moments notice! Secondly, the wedding ceremony took place in Cornwall in the small fishing village of Portloe, while the reception took place some 60 miles north east in the Devonshire town of Tavistock, a fair drive between venues, but when you leave last and arrive first the logistics aren’t so bad. Coincidentally, the couple only live a few miles from me and it was very easy to meet up with them a month or so ago to shoot some pictures around where we live in Cornwall, it was on the Pre Shoot I got an AA road map out and started to point out the distance between the venues, much to the shock of the bride. :)
Anyhow, all turned out very well and everyone was where they needed to me, at least eventually! A great day was had by all and I enjoyed photographing this wedding alongside my good friend and wedding videographer, Ben Foster. You can check out the wedding video highlights here.
Hope you like this small selection of about 10% of the pictures. Congratulations guys!
