Often when I blog a particular wedding I will only put up a small selection of the pictures from the whole day, after all I can’t really upload and expect people to sit through 500-600-700 pictures from a wedding! + I don’t think my website could handle it! Instead I always show a selection of about 5-10% of all the pics, however by doing this I normally have to pick just one or two pictures from each event at the wedding. So many little things happen at weddings, lots of different emotions, people, events, moments and stories to tell, and this is one of the main reasons I give couples so many pictures. Who am I to choose their favourite 200 pictures, ill give them the lot and then let them decide, its not that I expect them to show everyone who asks 600 pictures, they just have the choice.
To illustrate my point I have picked a wedding from last year that I vividly remember being fairly expressive during the service at a church in Devon and remember shooting more than normal actually in the church just because of this point. How could I possibly choose from these pics below when each one is almost a story on its own. Yes together they build one stronger story, but each individual is one look, one gesture, one smile, all of which are stronger than words – an unspoken language if you will.
Anyway enough of my rambles for today. Hope you like and get my point. Enjoy.
