Trevenna Barns near St Neot and Colliford Lake was the location for this two-part wedding in Cornwall. I loved spending this small amount of time with the couples group of friends and family, and not forgetting one very important dog. One of the biggest reason I love what I do is the ability to be able to connect with people on such as day that is filled with happiness and celebrations, of course, its also rewarding that I am able to document and provide a visual record of such a day, but that becomes even greater when I am able to get to know the people and be motivated further to do the documenting for them and not for me.
The wedding itself took place at Trevenna with a small group of close family and friends early on in the day before a church service and blessing a little later in the day after some food and speeches with a larger group of friends. The large amber and red rain forecast held off for most the day, only just arriving as we all arrived back at Trevenna after the church blessing, just a few pictures with an umbrella as it started to get dark and that added a nice spice of variety to the pictures that the couple will receive.
Below is a selection of the pictures from throughout the day, about 10-15% of the final selection of all the pictures that will hopefully tell the story for the couple for years to come.

Great set, man. Those portraits in the woods…wow! Cracking speech captures too :)
Just admiring your work – love the strong documentary feel and the heavy grade. I just traded my FM2 for a contax 645 – hoping to get it in action at some weddings this year! Do you ever use film at weddings?
Hey Rosie, thanks for your kind words. I don’t shoot much film at weddings, mainly for speed and enjoyment for everyone. It’s a slower medium to work with. HOWEVER i do love the aesthetic and process of film and often shoot with my FM2 for personal and travel and will occasional shoot a little 35mm of MF at a wedding if desired and we have a couple minutes. Often more so on a pre shoot. That said 99% of what I shoot is digital. Would be cool to shoot a little more and have every intention of doing so, it’s just finding a way that Is appropriate and beyond just for shooting for films sake. Would be cool to look out for your results and how you get on with the Contax. Always used Mamiya and Bronica myself. Send me an email if you fancy meeting up at some stage – just noticed your south west based. :) all the best with the season – Barney
