Demi + Jack – Hvar, Croatia

I first met Demi and Jack back in 2016 at Demi’s sister’s wedding in Ibizia, and thus it was a greater privilege than normal to be asked to fly off to another incredible location for another “Maldon” family wedding, this time Croatia! Zori Restaurant was our destination on the small island of Palmizana. Just a short boat trip from Hvar is an incredible place with amazing views, clean water and delicious food that is both plentiful and served by some of the most passionate people I’ve ever had the pleasure of working alongside at a wedding – needless to say we were all very well looked after!

A special thank you to both Zrinka at Zori and Marija the wedding planner. I genuinely cannot wait for an excuse to return. Fellow vegans… the food was off the chart! – That good!

It’s incredibly special for me being able to build bonds with families over the years. Whilst I naturally only spend a very short amount of time with a family such as this in the wider view of a lifetime, it is special to keep being invited back, strengthening connections, and being involved for the most special of occasions when all the family congregates for special celebrations such as this. Seeing familiar faces and reminiscing about past experiences together deepens the personal interactions I can have and hopefully the images too. :)

From start to finish always very helpful and reassured me everything would be absolutely fine (as us brides have a tendency to over-worry!) Barney was also the photographer at my sister’s wedding three years ago and it was lovely to reconnect three years later at our wedding. Barney’s photos capture everything and more, if you’re looking for the right guy, he’s your man!”

A few words from Demi and Jack about their day…

We chose Croatia because it was somewhere we had never been before and wanted a Destination Wedding where not many people had visited to give everyone a new experience! When we first went to the venue we both fell in love, literally, we knew there and then it was the venue for us and we still had around 10 others to view! But none of them came close in comparison.

One thing that surprised me most was that it all went perfectly on the day despite me worrying that it wouldn’t, I think that is only natural for a bride to worry though as you do want it to be as perfect as can be!

Our top three priorities in planning the wedding would have to of been;

– the Wedding Dress!

– the Photographer (of course)

– the Videographer

If I could do it all over again I would make sure that I didn’t worry so much as looking back I didn’t need to and it went perfectly just like Barney said it would :)
