St Ives is located on the North Coast of Cornwall, most notably near the town of Hayle towards the end of the A30 in Penzance. Despite being on the North Cost, the popular South Coast area of Mounts Bay stretching between Newlyn and Porthleven is only a short drive across the county, unlike North Cornwall when getting from coast to coast can take nearly two hours in places. The immediate small towns and villages surrounding St Ives include Penbeagle, Halsetown and the larger town of Lelant, driving around these places from the A30 at Hayle to St Ives on the A3074, you will find many campsites and accommodation, whilst in St Ives prices hike, but the wonderful hotels of St Ives and neighbouring Carbis Bay are not to be missed.
