Other options include smaller venues such as local accommodation and the churches both in the town and on the outskirts. DIY weddings are also possible, land owners overlooking some beauty scenery should be on the list of considerations. A little further afield on the South Coast you have the likes of the wedding venues surrounding Truro, Tregony and also across the bay into Falmouth, again a rather lovely sea side town when you get away from the moderate noise of more traffic and a considerable university on the outskirts of Falmouth, a larger town than St Mawes.

St Mawes is a small town on the South Coast of Cornwall, across the water from Falmouth and can be reached by the King Harry Ferry or driving south from Grampound or Tregony on the A30. St Mawes itself has great views around the cornish coastline and is linked to the A30 by the A3078 that runs in to the centre of town. The only slight logistical issue is the fact that St Mawes is fairly cut off from the rest of the country and the A30 is more than a few minutes in the car, however, if preparing all of the wedding around the St Mawes area, not depending on larger towns, should be a good avenue to exploit. Also be sure to find enough accommodation for your total number of guests within a few miles of your wedding location.
