Im not lying when I say that I do love being a Wedding Photographer at Trevenna Barns on Bodmin Moor in Cornwall. There are many reasons why I like the place; the location, the staff, the amazing food, the little spots you can explore around the moor. But perhaps the reason I most love about Trevenna is the people it attracts. Over the last 2 years I have shot 3 weddings at this spot in the Cornwall countryside, not far from where I live, and on every occasion I have had a great time, not just with the couple, but also getting to know their friends and family, and what could be a better opportunity to do this than to be invited to attend and document a family and friends meal at Trevenna the evening before the wedding.

A big thank you to the couple and everyone else on the day – despite a few showers I think everyone had an awesome time, myself included.

Congratulations to the new Mr & Mrs! :D – thats an ‘in’ joke.

Thoughts from the bride;

‘I was determined to meet all our wedding suppliers before making any formal bookings to ascertain that they understood what I wanted and, most importantly, would deliver it. Barney came out of his way to meet me, answered a hundred and one questions and gave all the right answers! My (now) husband couldn’t be there to meet with Barney in person but due to Barney’s fantastic communication via email, offer to Skype and amazing website/blog we were able to make a decision despite being on different continents. The good communication continued throughout the process; replies were always prompt and helpful. Barney was a little more expensive than we had budgeted for but his portfolio was far more interesting than anyone else’s, and I looked at many. He really captures the essence of what a wedding day is actually like. I knew the photos we would get would be special, so we deemed it a good investment and I saved on my dress instead! It was the right decision. In a nutshell we booked Barney because we thought his portfolio was the best and just as importantly he came across as someone you would want around you on your wedding day.’ – Tayma
