Weddings in Fowey | Cornwall Wedding Photography

Weddings in Fowey itself have the potential to be very beautiful, the correct weather conditions may be needed for that absolute perfect weather but the small town itself can look very lovely even on cloudy days, especially from up on the hill side looking down over the town. Wedding venues in Fowey include; Fowey Hall, The Old Quay House and Marina Villa Hotel to name a few. Fowey itself is located on one side of a mouth opening to the English Channel and the Atlanctic, on the other side being another smaller beautiful sunny water side town of Polruan, however without catching a boat, which is possible in the summer, connection to the town is remote, as the river leads all the way in land until Lostwithiel before becoming what could be classed as a small river.

The larger towns of St Austell and Lostwithiel are both no more than 20 minutes away by Car and if you can’t find what you need in Fowey itself then you will be sure to in these towns. Fowey is also well known for the regatta held here every year, its a large event that even highlights with the Red Arrows display team most years which thousands of people form all over Cornwall and beyond come to watch, this is also something to look out for if you are planning your wedding during August or September when the Regatta is normally on. Areas of note within Fowey for leisure purposes are St Catherine’s. Fowey Blackhouse and Daphne du Maurier Literary Center. Arriving to the North of the town, use the B3269 or to the West using the B3415, which will also bring you directly into the center of Fowey.
