Exmouth Wedding Photography presents many opportunities for photography, the combination of wide and narrow winding sea side streets around a large open space park near Exmouth registry office are a start, but looking further and taking some time you can find some more country and quieter spots, especially on a bright summers day in Devon. The beach itself running some distance, yet only a short walk from the town and with a mixture of horizon points out to sea and near by coast line, its an obvious choice. However, taking into consideration the tourism that might be expected to the market, sea side town during the school summer holidays on one of the best weekends in the year, myself, Neal & Shelly decided to opt for a lesser known spot just a mile up from the main beach area. To spend just 15-20 minutes to get some pictures of the two of them, near their home and in surroundings that they are used to day to day. Using this location also meant that time was used effectively so that their wedding guests could move from the town, where they got married in Exmouth Registry Office, towards their reception venue, a local riding stables (with a twist), before the couple, so they could make an entrance.

For Neal and Shelly their wedding was a long time coming and although they had a huge evening Barn Dance party at a third location, the wedding breakfast, speeches and the majority of the reception was a close family and friends affair, small, with lots of kids, that made for some great pictures. I honestly have never known so many children actually wanting to have their picture taken. I have picked out a few such pictures below, just brilliant… making my life easy. However when distracted they were also always very happy and made for some great candid moments, which are so great to capture children. Thus the majority of the wedding day, apart from my small adventure with Neal & Shelly up on the cliffs of Exmouth before the drinks reception and wedding breakfast, was spent in my normal role of a documentary wedding photographer, capturing the laughs, teas and punch lines that a wedding presents. Not to mention a brilliant speech by Shelly’s Son, all captured as it happened.

My many congratulations to both Neal & Shelly on their wedding and I do not need to say what great fun they must of had in the evening at their Barn Dance near Lympstone. Over 100 people dressed up in cowboy style clothing, with the lights down it looked like something out of a wild west movie, the kids were laughing as much as their parents were dancing around all night long.
