Chapel Porth Cornwall Wedding Engagement Photography

Victoria + Paddy – Cornwall, UK

Victoria and Paddy recently moved down to Cornwall from London, where they had spent much of their post-university lives together. So, me, being the local, probably should have known anywhere they could have possibly wanted to go for their pre-wedding photos. However, Chapel Porth near Truro was a new one for me, but I am very glad they took me there for an explore around the cove.

After meeting at Chiverton Cross for a coffee and a chat about their upcoming Cornwall Wedding celebrations, which are being held in Cornwall too! We then spent 10 minutes in the car driving down to Chapel Porth. Initially, it was a little sad to see it drizzling and the high tide in the cove. However, it was soon clear that this presented a great opportunity to go walking up onto the headland overlooking Chapel Porth and the English Channel.

Growing up in Cornwall, it’s sometimes easy to take the natural beauty for granted. Yet walking around and seeing Cornwall in it’s murky (but somehow spellbinding self) was a breath of fresh air that I needed in a year that has seen me spend more time outside of the UK (and Cornwall) than within. It’s good to get away, but it’s certainly always rewarding and refreshing going home.

Here are a few pictures of our brief walk around the headland and of Victoria and Paddy ahead of their Cornwall Wedding celebrations, which I am sure will also be up on the blog in the not too distant future. :)
