The Blue Bar | Porthtowan Beach near Newquay

The Blue Bar at Porthtowan Beach near Newquay is a very relaxed an informal affair when it comes to weddings, getting married just meters from the beach could be your thing. Being able to use the beach at Porthtowan for weddings is a great extra and must be the main selling point for the Blue Bar, from a photographic point of view the amount of space outside on a good day is a big advantage and provides lots of opportunities. The modern Bar is great for modern brides looking for a bit of a twist and a relaxed affair.

My experience at the Bar has been good, with friendly staff and a large bar area coupled with an on site ceremony room provide you with a service for small to medium sized guest lists. The surrounding area can be a problem with tourists and locals on a summers day, and if you wedding day brings rain, your dream beach wedding may not be a reality.

None the less space is handful inside the bar for a small reception and the beach could be used photographically in just about any weather if the bride and groom were keen enough.
