As well as all the big events on a wedding day like the confetti, the first married kiss, the dress going on, the exchange of rings and the first dance, I also always photograph what I call details and candids. And today i’m going to talk about Candids. “I’ll be around shooting candids.” – Candids is a word and phrase I use to basically mean ‘I’m taking pictures of people having a good time’. Its all those pictures that I take in-between the bigger moments, and pictures that are very personal to an individual wedding. I always say when I’m not doing anything else, I’m shooting some canids, perhaps your eating canopies and drinking champagne, ill be in the distance somewhere shooting Candids, unless I’m shooting details – but thats another blog.
So I have picked one recent wedding and have just picked out 20 or so canid pictures taken at various intervals throughout the wedding day, some straight after the wedding, some whilst the canopies are being served and some during the speeches. It’s not often I show these pictures from a particular wedding because they are all about the people in them and what they mean to the couple, to you and me they don’t mean a lot. None the less it gives an idea of what else gets photographed on a wedding day to add to that collection of wedding pictures that a wedding couple receive.
Hope you like.
