Buckland House in Devon is a blank caves in terms of a wedding venue, but a grand one at that. Buckland House is one of those houses in mid Devon that is certainly cut off and can be hired out for a weekend or week at a time for your only family functions or get togethers. However, one of the unique things about Buckland is that its firstly listened for weddings inside the walls of the house and it also has a not so small church attached alongside it – literally 50 meters from the house!
It was a great pleasure to photograph this wedding alongside fellow photographer and friend Andy Green. (You can check out some more pics from the wedding on Andys Blog here.) Although I very much enjoy the logistics and planning of complex weddings, multiple venues and especially my destinations weddings, sometimes its nice just to have a wedding all in one beautiful location and not have to worry to much about getting from A to B and just focusing on the venue and the pics. Especially when its only an hour from home! :)
Anyway it was a lovely day, with two ceremonies, an outside setting for the afternoon, a very interesting room with a balcony for the ceremony and dancing and of course just a joyful event! Especially when the sun came out!
Hope you like this small selection. More Cornwall & Devon Weddings here.
