Wedding Photography at The Green Cornwall

I met this pair initially on Skype several months before their wedding but we had never met in person till only two days before their very intimate and private small wedding at the beautiful ‘The Green’ Wedding venue on the outskirts of Liskeard near Rilla Mill in Cornwall. With only four guests and their dog, they had traveled down to Cornwall to tie the knot privately amongst those closest to them. It was a please therefore to be invited to document this special occasion for them and shoot a few frames before and after their wedding ceremony in the cornish sunshine.

Its not often I get to shoot weddings that are so small and intimate, but it is refreshing to do so occasionally, I spent about 3 hours in all at The Green and in that time met their friends, witnessed their marriage, shot some frames with them both in the country soundings of The Green, watched them raise a glass to the future and even noticed a little dance. :

Ultimately my thanks go out to the couple for choosing me to photograph and be a part of their very personal time – I hope these frames go some way to reflect the time they spent together in Cornwall.

Intimate Wedding at Tresanton Hotel St Mawes Cornwall

Its often refreshing doing an intimate wedding. Simple, not too much fuss, just love, marriage and a few kids for good measure. :) and this day at the Tresanton Hotel in St Mawes was certainly that. I arrived early in the morning to take a trip to the beach with the groom, their two kids and some family friends before heading into the Hotel for the bridal prep, reception, meal and a few drinks in some nice spots overlooking the St Mawes estuary.

First time at the Tresanton Hotel, the service and food were top notch and the weather was certainly on our side for the views and a nice stroll on the beach later in the day with the couple.

Thanks for including me guys and it was a pleasure to get to know you all. :)

Intimate Family Wedding in Looe Cornwall

With the clocks now back, the days getting shorter and noticeably a little cooler, winter is just around the corner. This wedding in and around the fishing village of Looe in Cornwall certainly had a more winter, dare I say christmas feel to it. Although above all this wedding celebration was an intimate one. Currently living not far from Looe in North East Cornwall it was a very pleasant change to know many of the people involved in this small celebration; the registrars and the Pianist to name just a couple.

The wedding itself formally took place in Looe guild hall with a reception following at the farm house of Treworgey Cottages just a few miles from Looe near Duloe. Between the guild hall and the reception myself and the couple slipped off for a few minutes on route to a nearby beach to shoot a few frames on what was a dramatic seascape view, yet despite the wind and rain we spent a few minutes on the empty beach to capture some of the pictures below.

After returning to the Farm House reception, the rest of the afternoon and evening was a laid back family affair, a few drinks, some pleasant music, plenty of wine and a three course meal all in a very homely environment that Treworgey provided. Below I have included bout 50 pictures from the day, a mix of some storytelling elements and a few of my favourites, the pictures are in a mixed order, as I have done for a few others wedding this year, I think it makes a nice change from assuming what you will see next.
