byron bay destination wedding photography Australia PORTFOLIO
Destination weddings are always such a pleasure to be a part of, not just because of the adventures brought by travelling to new places but also meeting and spending time with new people from different walks of life. Destination weddings normally mean that I not only get to spend more time with the couple than I usually would, but also with other close family and friends that are normally around for a few days instead of just one. It is good for not only me but also the resulting pictures, to be able to make connections and build relationships with other parts of the families isa bonus! From my experience, meeting and simply talking and sharing experiences with people, no matter how brief, mean that I am able to build trust more quickly and then photograph from within as apposed to an outsider looking in.
Whilst photographing the wedding of Richard & Natalie in Australia with another photographer and friend of mine, it was really amazing to spend so much time with everyone, be accepted and then by the time the wedding day had arrived, we were already included. Above is a slideshow which hopefully tells the story of the wedding day itself and a taster of the resulting pictures.
