Byron Bay Australia – The Pre Wedding Shoots first started with a 4am wake up call on another fine morning in Byron Bay. At the beach for sunrise and a bit of surfing was the aim, before breakfast in the local bakery and then a few mid morning pictures in a location that Andy and I had found the day before. Once we had shot a few standard engagement shoot pictures walking along the beach, Andy went in the sea to capture the surfing on the Canon G12 and I stayed with my feet firmly on the ground and shot the events with a variety of lenses all around my neck, ouch! The results were a mixture of land based and a couple of in the water type pictures, you can see some more of the pics and Andy’s water pics here.
After the early start at the beach and a quality coffee and pie from the local bakery we set off 5 minutes down the road to some woods – we sort of had this idea of shooting them in amongst the tress, but were soon informed that this was a ‘snaky idea’, so to avoid any large claims on our public liability we had some laughs without getting into the long grass around the tress, the results are a few pictures that defiantly got the couple themselves up for some more tree pictures on the wedding day itself – more of that soon.
It was really positive and refreshing to do something different for the Pre Shoot / Engagement Shoot, bringing the pictures to life with their passions alongside some more typical ‘I love you’ pics and pictures incorporating the local landscape. Hope you like. More playful water pictures here from my time earlier on Fraser Island.
