A new experience for me came about last weekend when I photographed the wedding of Lisa & James in Porthtowan near St Agnes in Cornwall almost on the beach. Their wedding took place at the Blue Bar which is situated right on the front of the beach. Both the service and reception took place here, and as such the guests, the couple and myself were able to take full advantage of the beach which was about a 20 meter walk from the exit of the Bar.
Lisa got in contact with me only a few months ago, luckily I had nothing planned for the day itself, and after a long drive back from a wedding in Surrey the day before, I was set to go for what turned out to be a beautiful day of sunshine for the couple and their guests. Lisa got ready just a mile from the beach and below are some of the pictures that I captured of her in the morning whilst she was getting ready, I always feel that capturing the whole day from bridal preparations till first dance creates a much better set of pictures, as they can then tell the whole day back to the couple rather than just a snippet of the ceremony.
Lisa & James already have their pictures from the day and below are a sample of the 300 the received.
All credit goes to Lisa for the last picture. Not many brides would take my sarcastic comment of ‘fancy a dip?’ quite so literally.
I hope you like them and once again congratulations to both Lisa & James.

Barney, we cant thank you enough. The photos are amazing and all the guests commented on how professional and dedicated you were. We had over 300 photos and every single one tells a story and are faultless. The day goes so very quickly and from a bride that originally said that she didn’t want photos I can not tell you how lucky I feel to have had you as our photographer.
Thank you again,
Lisa and James
Thanks very much for your kind words Lisa. It was great to be a part of your day and I hope the photos bring you happiness for years to come. All the best for the future.
