My last wedding in April was down in the depths of Cornwall. Lamorna Cove is located just beyond Penzance on the road to Lands End, about a 60 minute drive from Truro, and this was the location for the first Civil Partnership I have ever photographed, and it was certainly a story worth telling. I had met with the couple amount a month before at Praa Sands Beach near Helston for a Pre Shoot and I knew from chatting with them both then that the wedding would be a heartfelt and intimate one – and it certainly didn’t disappoint. The whole wedding was held at The Cove Hotel near Lamorna, except for a trip in Lola from Strawberry Leisure and Chauffeur Bob to Marazion for a few pictures.
I spent an hour or so in the morning with each of them doing my normal getting ready pics and then on to the ceremony at The Cove and a trip to the beach with a super experience in the VW that is Lola before witnessing a very close and honest atmosphere for a meal and the emotional speeches – It was certainly a pleasure to be involved with the whole wedding. I wish the couple all the best for the future and look forward to hearing about their Thailand adventures. :)
For a bit of a change I have put a small slideshow together of some of their wedding pictures, alongside the song which started their marriage ceremony. – Hope you like. :)
