A wedding in St Agnes on one of the few real summers days in Cornwall was a magnificent affair in the depths of Cornwall a few weeks back. Being familiar with weddings in Cornwall, this was one of those few days where the weather is just perfect, sun, heat and a gentle breeze. Now with autumn really taking its toll, I thought I would blog this lovely bit of sunshine that will need to stay strong in our memories before that beautiful week in March we are all longing for. :) The wedding of this couple was held in a sweet little church followed by a reception at Rose-in-Vale Country House near St Agnes in Cornwall, it was a lovely day, not least because of the weather, but in conjunction using the full potential of the reception venue for some lovely drinks, food, live music and magic. When you have a reception venue with lots of outside space it is a real positive on days like this wedding, however some people often don’t think about the venue if the weather is anything but perfect. Its always best to make sure their is adequate space both inside and out so your covered whatever the weather.
Little twists and personal tastes are always what makes weddings along with a fabulous bunch of people, this wedding had both. The maybe obvious but not overly used idea of having a magician, was in my mind, a brilliant touch, making for both brilliant entreatment, finding myself distracted at times, and also for some great reaction pictures.. see below. I really enjoyed photographing this wedding alongside a friend of mine, and below are just a handful of my frames from the day, a few of the service and the couple and a few of the magic.
