Last week I had the real pleasure of photographing the wedding of Phil & Roxanne at the St Andrews Parish Church near Tavistock followed by a reception at the Bedford Hotel in the centre of town. Phil & Rox are a wonderful couple, made even better by two amazing kids, who despite an incident with a finger and a door were good all day and made for some super pics! :) As the reception was being held at the Bedford in the town we decided to go a few miles up on to the moors between the service and the reception to shoot a few pics in an area that has been special to them and their kids growing up.
The sun shone all morning and despite a few clouds later in the afternoon, we were able to have the drinks reception outside near the river running through Tavistock. The whole day was just lovely, relaxed and personal to the pair of them and it was really easy for me just to fit in and work with them both to create some good pictures to trigger later memories. The kids in particular created some great energy in the evening and had great fun with sweets, bubbles, cake and plenty of wigs to dress up in.
It is really rewarding reaching a point with a couple that everything just flows and there is no second guessing, nothing between you but the foundations for a good friendship. :)
